    1. How do I install ForexPIPZen on my computer?

You must have Metatrader 4 build 225 already installed on your computer prior to installing ForexPIPZen.
You can get metatrader from one of the many forex brokers supporting Metatrader 4.

Use the installer file that you downloaded to your desktop. The ForexPIPZen installer will find and ask you which Metatrader 4 directory you want ForexPIPZen installed to. **NOTE** If you have more than one copy of Metatrader 4 on your computer be sure to install ForexPIPZen in your current Metatrader directory.

Below is information where the 4 files are installed. *****Do not rename any of these files as that will make the ForexPIPZen "Non functioning".
Below is an example of how the broker FXOpen will look on your computer.

***Note The number after PIPZEN_ may be different as upgrades are released.
      1.) PIPZEN_20.ex4 goes into the Metatrader – FXOpen/experts folder.
      2.) IndX1.ex4 goes into the Metatrader – FXOpen/experts/indicators folder
      3.) PIPZEN.DLL goes into the Metatrader – FXOpen/experts/libraries folder
      4.) PIPZEN.set goes into the Metatrader – FXOpen/tester folder

Place the files in the folders, restart your computer and when you load the “ForexPIPZEN” expert into a 1 hour EURUSD chart you should see a popup window. Enter your License key into the registration area of that popup window. If you have entered the correct key, you should not see that window unless your license is expires. Your license is offered on a annual basis.

    2. Setting up Metatrader 4 for use with ForexPIPZen?

There is a few things we need to check to ensure ForexPIPZen is set to trade automatically on Metatrader 4.

1.) You will need to have a current version of metatrader 4 Build 225 I have attached a screen shot so you can see where to find the version information.

On the top of Metatrader click on the bar: Help > About. A screen will open and display the Build Number. We are looking for Build 225. If this is ok we can check a few other items in Metatrader 4.

2.) Lets check the settings under Tools > Options > Expert Advisors or Press Ctrl + O (letter O). A menu will appear. In this menu we need to have only 4 of the boxes checked.

1.) Enable Expert Advisors is Checked.
2.) Allow Live trading is Checked.
3.) Allow DLL Imports is Checked.
4.) Allow external experts imports Checked.

3.) With ForexPIPZen Loaded into your Chart left click your mouse pointer in the metatrader screen. Go to your keyboard and press the "F7"
key at the top row of your keyboard. A screen should open up. Click the tab labeled common on the top of this popup window.
In the new screen we want a few things "checked" off and others "unchecked"

      * In this new Window in the lower left corner there is a box called "Live Trading"
o Allow live trading should be Checked.
o Ask manual confirmation should be unchecked .
      * In the same window in the upper right area there is a bow labeled Safety
o Allow DLL imports should be Checked.
o Confirm DLL function calls should be Unchecked.
o Allow import of external experts should be Checked.

    3. Are there any Forex Brokers ForexPIPZen Does not work on? NOW ECN ready!!!
      Yes.
ForexPIPZen does not currently work with the following brokers listed below. This does not in any way reflect negatively on the broker itself, only in the way the broker listed below handles orders, take profit and or stoploss values.

1.) Alapari (all) - Order handling no multiple Takeprofit supported as tested in demo. FIFO related

*** this is not a complete list as there are many MT4 brokers we have not tested on.

    4. Who are the best brokers?
This is a difficult question to answer. Below is a resource to help you come to your own decision. You may also look on forex forums like forexfactory.com, Forex-TSD.com and MQL4.com for input. Personally, I believe the larger, more established firms with good capital, offering ECN or no dealing desk and multi country regulated are preffered. I am no authority on Brokers I will leave that to others.

      1.) http://www.cftc.gov/marketreports/financialdataforfcms/index.htm

Popular brokers ForexPIPZen has been developed using: FOREX.COM (GAIN), FXDD, Tadawul, ATC and IBFX.

    5. I have used other “EA” in the past and they had more values that were required to be inputted. Why so few inputs with ForexPIPZen?
Excellent question. The designers of other “EA’s” may have a more sophisticated trading algorithm than ForexPIPZen, thus requiring more input. My experience has shown “me” the more variables (indicators) the greater the chance for curve fitting issues to dominate past results making them useless on unseen data. Remember, after literally thousands of hours of being battered and bruised in developing and testing a workable Expert Advisor. This is my end result. No doubt there are other EA out there performing well. The advantage to you is you can test this EA and see it work for yourself before you decide to continue after the free trial.

    6. I do not see any indicators in backtests only the trades in the currency window, is this the way it should be?
Yes. The indicators used in ForexPIPZEN are not displayed by design.

    7. Why does ForexPIPZen ask I do not load any indicators while running the expert advisor?
ForexPIPZen calls on indicators from Metatrader in the background. Adding indicators to the chart opens up the potential to confuse the trading logic. By not loading indicators on to the chart this issue should never arise.

    8. Should I optimize Forexpipzen's StopLoss, TrailingStopPips, takeprofit and other values?
Preferred values for forexpipzen are sent to you via a .set file. These values have been optimized to maximize the EA performance.
Please note not all intrahour price data is exactly the same at all forex brokers. For this reason it is a good idea to optimize the StopLoss and TrailingStopPips as well as the TP5 value and TP4 value in the case of ForexPIPZen Standard for your particular Forex Broker. These values should always be optimized using the - Every Tick - setting under Modeling in Metatrader 4 Strategy Tester.
**Caution should be used when editing the .set values and should only be done if you have some experience with Metatraders strategy tester. Please visit our here support site
Note, the technology used to secure Forexpipzen does not allow for the optimization of all of ForexPIPZen's parameters. As new updates are released you will be notified in advance so you may test the compatability with your trading style and comfort level.

    9. I see an indicator IndX1 what is this indicator and how do I use it?
The IndX1 indicator is an designed to be used with ForexPIPZen. It is used in the background by ForexPIPZen. It is highly reccommended that the IndX1 indicator is "NOT" added onto any ForexPIPZen chart while ForexPIPZen is running. At no time should the variables be edited or changed in the indicators panel.

Again, this is a safety measure to ensure no conflicts arise in the trading logic.

Please note a lot of the work has been done to make ForexPIPZen an effective EA in the H1 EURUSD Forex Market. Kindly backtest this EA in a DEMO account and forward test in a MINI account when you are ready.

    10. How do I set the correct GMT time offset?
****** This is extremely important ******
to find GMT Time go to GMT TIME you should see a digital clock with current GMT there.

To get your broker server time.
Go to Metatrader during and find the Marketwatch Icon. It usually has a green up and red down arrow. Click it.
On the very top is a time. (Please note) this must be done when the forex market is open to get your correct server time.
Remember, we want the broker server time not the time at your location.

----------------EXAMPLE VALUES ONLY ***DO NOT USE VALUES BELOW***-------------
      Examples: Market Watch Time ........................GMT.........................+/-

      1.) FXDD Market Watch Time 13:21 ---------| GMT: 11:21 | GMT Offset +2

      2.) InterbankFX Market Watch Time 11:41 -| GMT: 11:41 | GMT Offset: 0

We are only interested in the hour offset. So, to calculate your broker GMT offset.

Your broker time - GMT time = your GMTOffSet.

Remember to place the correct negative/positive value like in the case of the (FXCM example) above. Once you have loaded ForexPIPZen into your H1 EURUSD chart press the F7 key to enter the Expert Advisor panel. Enter your broker GMT OffSet into the GMTOffSet field. There is the number 99 in that field. You need to change that number to the correct GMT Offset for ForexPIPZen to work properly. You are prompted by ForexPIPZen to change the GMTOffSet once you first load ForexPIPZen into your Chart. Thats it!

      GMT TIME BELOW

      GMT TIME

    11. How do I get 90% model quality on backtests?
ForexPIPZen is capable of 90% modeling quality in backtests. The required data needs to be downloaded from the broker server. See this article here http://www.easyexpertforex.com/backtesting-optimization.html This article explains the process of doing so very well. Remember that modeling quality in itself does not mean that the results will be valid into the future. You may also want to visit http://forum.mql4.com.
